Went back to SPSS for an old study where we did the analysis using it and all I can think is "WHY DID THEY TEACH THIS TO US IN UNIVERSITY"

The advanced stats classes taught SAS, which was just cruel after SPSS

Going from SPSS to Stata/R: "Everything is SO EASY. I just type three letters and everything runs? I'm never going back!" Going from SPSS to SAS: "This is pretty cool" *500 missed semi-colons later* "Fuck this I'm going back to SPSS"

I’m glad that I’ve never touched SPSS. SAS makes so much more sense to me than stata/R, but maybe I should push myself more to learn them...

For me SAS is just incredibly finicky after using Stata for a while and learning R. Took me an entire day to learn how to run things that I learned in less than an hour with Stata

I don’t understand how/why you can’t use more than one dataset at a time in stata (if that’s actually true?)... yes SAS can be super picky but I can relate to that

You can, just have to open multiple windows. It's a bit more headachey than SAS in that respect, but imo still much easier to use
