Ugh. "Therapeutic doses of supplements, IV vitamins, & chelation treatments"?? All classic bunk therapies. Yep, naturopath $ scam. I bet it also involved some diagnostic testing that found "toxins". Also, odd how these intervention are ok, but MD = harmful "masking". Huh?

MDs "masking symptoms" and "not treating root causes" is universally used propaganda. It falls apart on closer inspection just like the misrepresentation of ND training as similar to MD training fails to stand up to scrutiny.https://twitter.com/DocMCohen/status/1177969821381619712 …

The alt med "root causes" propaganda drives me nuts! One of the many straw men supporters deploy to confuse public discourse. Others: we don't understand placebo effect; we are pro Big Pharma; we don't care about prevention. My take from a few years ago:https://blogs.bmj.com/bmj/2015/10/22/timothy-caulfield-the-straw-men-of-integrative-health-and-alternative-medicine/ …

You may well have been misled and haven’t answered the questions about lead poisoning. Lead poisoning is easly detected with a simple finger prick blood test. It accumulates in places where calcium is stored in the body, so extra calcium doesn’t help - removing lead is essential

If its chronic exposure its in the blood and bones and easily detected. Just go to your gp and explain and ask to be tested. See https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4681084/ … Just steer clear of rhe naturopaths! Good luck.

1/4 I am afraid your are wrong. Read the paper, you can detect bone lead. This is typical of the deceptive practices we are complaining about. 1. Tell the pt only you can really help them with your special skills.

2/4 Diagnose a rare disorder based on varied symptoms that the other foolish doctors have missed, (but with no actual evidence) in your case lead poisoning from living near a BC gun range.

Also worth noting that many 'diagnostic' techniques employed by naturopaths are total nonsense (I.e. iridology, applied kinesiology etc)
