that's a deception that I hear parroted on a daily basis- there was harm done in the form of more cancer, CIN 2 and 3 in infected women.

No that's literally what the table is reporting. That's what the text above the table says. That's what "who were seropositive and PCR..." means

Gardasil harmed these women, that's what this table shows. you're claiming HPV infection is rampant to justify this vaccine and simultaneously igoring the rampant infection. it's unethical.

No, you're literally just misreading the table. Do you know what seropositive and PCR positive for HPV means?

Do you know what a confidence interval is?

your confidence interval BS won't work with me. you know full well that decisions about data are never made based on statistical tests alone. you don't get to create cancer and act like it's a chance event when you claiming to prevent it.

I'll take that as a no. A confidence interval gives you an idea of the expected values if you were to re run this test again in a different population. Can you see how this one goes all the way up to 8.8%?

What that means is that the expected values based on a statistical test go from the observed point estimate down quite a bit but also up to 8.5% In other words, the vaccine could potentially be harmful OR protective based on this table

yeah brainwave, but this is a cancer PREVENTION trial and you know darn well that you don't make decisions based on a CI alone unless you have an agenda lol.

The point estimate for a sample is also of course important - what the confidence interval shows is that the sample is much too small to draw any conclusions from
