I jump in. Most people (experiments say >80%) misinterpret relative risks. Even those who understand them correctly are not able to calculate absolute risk when they don‘t know the base risk.

I tweet out a range of studies, whenever I have time. I usually pick whichever I see first. To be fair in this case, the study wasn't very robust and it's unlikely that even the absolute risk is reflective of a true estimate, but all the risks account does is risks

If we're going to argue about whether the risk of overdose is increased when coming off opioids, I suspect a simple cohort study that compares two wildly different populations is unlikely to offer an enormous amount of insight
