I don't know if it's the right thing to adjust for BMI in these type of analysis? The effect of sugar sweetened beverages on weight are whats probably making them bad for you. If you adjust for BMI that effect diminishes substantially if not entirely

Sure, but looking at the current evidence from short term RCTs it's obvious that the big thing is the effect on weight The did exclude BMI in the sensitivy analysis. I guess they just should reverse those analysis
