Yes, it couldn't be because it finally entered the DSM in the 1980s and we've also come much further in educating medical professionals as well as the general public about the early signs for autism. Must be the vaccine.

I did read the thread. I disagree with him. It's like saying more people are becoming gay because people are open about it now because it's not illegal anymore. To pretend education, both in the medical profession and society doesn't increase diagnosis is ridiculous.

This is my argument too. When education increases, so does diagnosis. We look for autism now in paediatrics. Parents often know the indicators now too.
