HRI welcomes @NHMRC decision to release the draft 2012 report on #homeopathy – a major victory for transparency and public accountability in research: https://www.hri-research.org/2019/08/hri-statement-on-release-of-first-report-by-nhmrc/ …pic.twitter.com/pAZVRqKQzT

Imagine that. They ended up doing the report twice. Who could have imagined! It's almost as if they didn't like the answer the first report gave.

Except the reports say almost exactly the same thing. The only difference is in how optimistic the conclusions were - the 2012 draft report argues that a complete lack of evidence for homeopathy could be interpreted as an opportunity rather than a judgement

Except the first report doesnt make up nonsense rules to rule out the good research, and does conclude that 5 conditions have positive evidence.

Sounds like you haven't read the new 2012 report. There was not a single study or condition with either grade A or B evidence or even a condition with evidence that homeopathy worked of any grade

I must admit, considering it arrived like 7 hours ago at the start of an 8 hour shift, I have not digested it thoroughly. Don't worry. I will fully digest this in good time.

Lol but happy to comment on it anyway. Let's just say they graded the evidence almost identically, but framed it slightly differently in the reporting

Always happy to comment upon the deception of the second report. And on the key differences.

There were remarkably few differences in methodology. The main difference that I can see is in interpretation. I suspect you'll be very disappointed to find that neither report supports the use of homeopathy for any conditions

I agree, sir. With the exception of the methodology involved in ranking evidence for reports; since I couldn't locate a literature review protocol in my search. What strikes me as the oddest is the interpretation of assigned grades. -->pic.twitter.com/oin7MEASqs

--> Encouraging here, falling flat there. For the same grades. That smacks of subjectivity. I am quite interested in reading Dr? Theriault's explanation on this as he has assured us.
