Ah.Then you might try to find out if you haven't made the mistake I was wondering about. There is no doubt dietary guidelines have influenced the knowledge, attitude & behaviour of people. But the intended goals weren't met. Imo, mainly because of the sorry state of food science.

... and obviously, there are reasons for that too, though opinions differ very much on that. I'm not sure why the study of medicine has ignored food for such a long time, as it is obvious physical and mental processes may go wrong if people aren't properly fed.
