If I drink an extra espresso + get a migraine, I'd LOVE to blame it on the caffeine. But it's more likely that I drank it at 5pm b/c I was on call + didn't sleep + didn't drink any water + was incredibly tense. Am I fortunate or unfortunate that I don't have isolated triggers?
True. Although aware of previous links of caffeine with migraines ( I suffer cluster headaches), the link to oral contraceptives referred to is interesting and was new to me.
On the other hand, a majority of migraineurs will tell you that a cup of coffee and 2 advil gel caps can stave a migraine off for hours, if not cure it completely.
I bet they didn't correlate the migraines with weather changes. Anything can trigger a headache if a low pressure system is threatening.
