If nothing else, there's no possible way to rule out reverse causality or confounding here, because the sample is just too small for more complex analyses

Oh, also, this was a study in migraine sufferers - it's not that caffeine will give you migraines, it's that it might trigger them in people who are susceptible

I always drink more coffee on days I have migraines — Maybe the coffee works backwards through time Is there anything coffee can’t do!
It seems to vary, from anecdotal evidence anyway. For me, caffeine is the most effective way to stop migraines. For others, it’s a trigger.
