For one thing, the "study" appears to have basically tested for any PFAS residue in a bunch of takeaway bowls Hidden at the bottom of the Daily Mail piece is a wonderful reveal...pic.twitter.com/nmP0nUk8dU
Remember: dose makes the poison There's more formaldehyde in your pears than PFAS in your takeaway bowls, but no one's writing hit-pieces on fleshy fruit
Also, PFAS is absolutely "cancer-linked" You know what else is "cancer-linked"? Aloe vera. Parrafin wax. Kimchi (the delicious Korean pickle). A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFFpic.twitter.com/ENLpBQ0cay
The reason we worry about PFAS is that they are only slowly excreted from the body, and don't break down quickly in the environment That's not the same as "any dose will murder your babies" which is what the media has picked up on
Doesn't get excreted from the body. Not actually true in the case of PFAS, but it does take a while
