Remember: dose makes the poison There's more formaldehyde in your pears than PFAS in your takeaway bowls, but no one's writing hit-pieces on fleshy fruit
Also, PFAS is absolutely "cancer-linked" You know what else is "cancer-linked"? Aloe vera. Parrafin wax. Kimchi (the delicious Korean pickle). A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFFpic.twitter.com/ENLpBQ0cay
The reason we worry about PFAS is that they are only slowly excreted from the body, and don't break down quickly in the environment That's not the same as "any dose will murder your babies" which is what the media has picked up on
Alternatively, 1. PFAS doesn't degrade. 2. it is harmful to both the environment and humans. I live on a crystal clear glaciar formed lake in Michigan. We care. And, it matters IN REAL LIFE. Besides belittling people, do you have a good side?https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Pfas …
