I've had a lot of hate in the last few years, but someone accusing me of being a paid shill for tweeting negatively about a study on semen quality and nut intake is peak absurd

I'm trying to work out who would pay you to be negative about it. Who is anti Big Nut enough to do that???

I explain how it works in this thread. It's about publicizing the study. It doesn't matter what your opinion is as long as you KEEP REPEATING IT.https://twitter.com/johnzahorik/status/1103037309190959104?s=20 …

John Zahorik @johnzahorikKeep in mind: It DOESN'T MATTER if the information is CREDIBLE or TRUE. We just need ENOUGH credibility to justify putting KETO CROTCH into the public awareness and have it REPEATED. https://dcmcommunications.com/blog/advertising/the-importance-of-repetition-in-advertising/#gs.JWPEmT9t …Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Got it, your approach is to ignore it and it will go away. From a public health point of view this hasn't worked, pretty much ever. Woo seems to spread much better than science. I prefer we take it on with evidence.

We get tricked into spreading it. Over 1,000 studies published every day, we always respond to the PUBLICIZED studies. It's SELECTION BIAS of information to the public. Virta is reversing T2D. Have you seen any stories on THAT? Nope.

There have been literally ~dozens~ of stories on Virta. Most recently a massive media spread in May. They have an excellent marketing team and huge investment

I must have missed that media spread. When I google “virta diabetes 2019” I see a CNBC spot and a Business Insider article, but not much else for mass media. What other outlets carried articles?

Whoops, apologies, not all from May. Vox, Yahoo, and a few others from June, and a recent press release from newswire about some collaboration they're doing
