Clinicians seldom use any % kcals for therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. We treat carb intake as absolute value/threshold because that's how it operates in humans w/r/t metabolic changes.

Duck out if you need to. But, as a rhetorician, I unclear about what this strawman is. My argument was about not prematurely equating low calorie with low carb without explaining the mechanism that allows low carb to improve metabolic markers before & without wt loss.

I said what the paper said. There's literally no difference in my language and theirs. Carbohydrate restriction is defined as <45 % of total calories.
