People need to stop shaming hospitals for giving patients "unhealthy" food: 1. Food can be very disease-specific 2. Hospitals are full of very sick people who deserve a break from caring about anything other than getting better

Healthcare needs to set the example - If healthcare facilities serve unhealthy food, patient’s will keep eating it at home and then say it must be healthy because the hospital served it.

Certainly a strong argument for healthier options at canteens and removing vending machines. I'm not sure it applies as well to food served to very sick people, because most people recognize that it's an unusual situation

Exactly this. Any time I’ve been inpatient I’ve been so ill that it isn’t the time for conversations like that. If needed its better to do once I am discharged. Plus better received by the patient who will be more likely to hear you.
