And rather than critiquing the piece, providing evidence etc, the response is to belittle and demean? It's the sort of response you expect from alternative medicine practitioners who are spruiking homeopathy

If she knew anything about hormones she would have said so in her tweet. Instead she makes a false claim that may hurt people while ignoring the fact that the three authors are ideological vegans.

Mate, that's total rubbish. Who puts "I'm a hormonal expert" in every tweet they make? Also, a lot of nutrition RCTs are done by non-hormonal experts, it's a total red herring as far as arguments go

@TamarHaspel should have said “keto is bad if you think like a vegan” — there are so many health benefits beyond weight loss that for these authors to focus on it alone is laughable.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
It's entirely possible to do a vegan ketogenic diet. I actually know 2 people who eat like that. "They're vegan" isn't the sledge you think it is

Also if you think the article said "keto is bad" then I assume you haven't read it. This is a much more careful statement than anything as arbitrary as good vs badpic.twitter.com/4GEDlWexik

They basically are saying it’s a fad. Where’s the evidence that plant based diets are healthy? Ornish? Lol. They even wrote off
@Virtahealth ‘s incredible results by saying it was all about technology. This is clearly just an anti meat bias - which is easy to see.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Actually, they said this. I think you'll find the statement is entirely true, based on the protocol Virta published themselves. They also didn't mention meat oncepic.twitter.com/vJtQ6OyQCJ

You should try reading between the lines. Just because they don’t say it doesn’t mean it isn’t implied.

The last time someone said something like that to me they were a flat-Earth conspiracist trying to convince me that the government was evil. I'd rather go by what the authors actually said
