I very clearly stated my hypothesis in advance for posterity. It's considered good form in my circles to be transparent about biases and reasons for them, particularly before the results are in. Should I be wrong I can then respond appropriately.
So, to clarify, you believe that the evidence for F&V is too weak to recommend them for any dietary pattern, completely nonexistent for low carb, but you're personally convinced based on anecdotes that they are not helpful?

There evidence that I should not eat banana bread for breakfast is weak.

Thank you so much for asking! Not exactly. The first might depend on the scope of "any". When I said it I meant too weak to recommend "on any diet", if you see what I mean. Whether it's strong enough for any particular diet depends on what they'd be replacing.

But the goal of any diet is to replace "unhealthy" (however defined) eating patterns with "healthy" ones, surely. It's always going to be partly relative, so presumably for the majority of diets you'd agree that replacement of poor quality food with F&V would improve health
