I’m on a one-woman mission to replace the term “quasi-experimental” with “quasi-observational”. There are lots of problems with the word quasi-exp that could justify a change in terminology, but also, this crusade is really just me being difficult, so....

I agree wholeheartedly. Randomization isn't a magical tool that makes something into an experiment all of a sudden, all trials are "experimental"!
