Yes. It's not the degree that is dangerous, it's the person. Specifically, over-confidence. This occurs with every degree.

And even worse when your degree is earned because you happen to have fallen lucky and gotten advisors (and external adjudicators) who happen to align with your core beliefs. When those core beliefs are wrong, we're in big trouble - and I've see this happen in Canada.
