No there were only 30 acute deaths. About 50 since then from cancer in 30 years so far

It is difficult because never smokers and smokers for a few years in youth is diffcult to calculate. . Most adults older HAVE Smoked at some point in their lives. Older people live longer than ever atm and that includes a high % of smokers. It is not wrong.

An 80 year old now (rough est life expectancy)would have been born 1939. % of adult smoking in 1950s was high. Even by 1974 when we actually have stats it was 52% men and 45% women and we KNEW the health risks then

Now heres the figure problems. That is actual smokers. The number of never smokers of that age is quite low; though difficult to ascertain. Many quit obviously. Yet that generation born 1930s, smoking likely higher than 70s, is living longer than any other.
