Here's an interesting statement from Charlie Teo. Does anyone know of these studies? I can't find them in Pubmed or on Google Scholarpic.twitter.com/LawsXQpWjd

Ok I think I found the studies he's referring to. He's published a number of research projects that look at the immediate surgical outcomes postoperatively in terms of complications and such https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25270140 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25396702
What I can't find any data for whatsoever is a comparison of the people he's done surgery on with people who were managed by another surgeon or only medically, which is disappointing because that's what people actually care about I think
How about this one and the Commentary (the paper itself not so much but the commentary puts it in perspective) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20563727/ …
Another interesting study. I did find the additional commentary to be very, um, interesting
