Many of the men who have murdered their wives and partners do not have mental health issues. Similarly, the vast majority of men who do have mental health issues are non-violent and do not harm those around them. This is not a mental health issue. It’s a male behavioural one.

But sometimes a mental illness DOES cause aggression and violence (as seen in my own personal family experience) and whether it’s the norm or not, unless we are privy to the specifics should we be judging otherwise??

Is it not stigmatising too to those who have behaved violently whilst unquestionably mentally ill (psychotic or otherwise) and denying their/our experience
