Those are all absurd questions, presenting compete false dichotomies. I could as well ask you if you think all research is conducted on the back of a large sentient table

Oh that's pretty simple - it's a strong observed association, but it's unlikely that we'd be able to entirely remove residual confounding so a number of studies still see the connection despite controls

I don't think either of those questions makes any sense. They neither did it by accident nor need training, and as I said it is a false dichotomy to present those as the two options
