Nope. Association is not causation. The only association is the preconceived assumption. Large epidemiology studies show there is no link.

Exactly- it didn't exist in the past! Someone who was diagnosed as Aspergers in the 90s, for example, would be autistic today. Can you see how that might make more people have 'autism'?
