It's a failed attempt to give some broader value to these studies. It sounds really like having no clue. Better leave such claims behind.

Also the intelligence literature is incredibly variable-there isn't any conclusive evidence for it's use honestly. I spent a lot of time on the executive function literature and it's all over the place
