This is Michelle Herman. She thinks the MMR vaccine nearly killed her son, Leo. He's now almost 4, & according to Michelle, happy & healthy, but she no longer vaccinates. She's one of many choosing this path. Tonight at 6, #LiveOnK2, we investigate the vaccination debate.pic.twitter.com/cj2DOarWWR

"We’ve introduced vaccines, and we're seeing the numbers drop," Dr. Anna Meyers (pictured below) said. She sides with the science and the stats. According to the @CDCgov millions of Americans used to get measles each year & hundreds died. Deaths are now scarce. #LiveOnK2pic.twitter.com/heYDfph0Ns

Dr. Meyers argues vaccines are safe and effective. She says vaccines can help prevent outbreaks. @WHO calls the measles vaccine "one of the best buys in public health" and claim between 2000-2017, the vaccine helped save 21.1 million lives. #LiveOnK2

Pediatrician Dr. Paul Thomas owns Integrative Pediatrics in Portland. He says not one of the practice's 15k patients is fully vaccinated. He pushes a limited vaccine schedule, which he explains in his best-selling book, The Vaccine Friendly Plan. #LiveOnK2pic.twitter.com/OBjJy9cHCY

Dr. Thomas believes that vaccines cause autism. Even though that's been repeatedly refuted by dozens of studies --> https://www.healthychildren.org/English/safety-prevention/immunizations/Pages/Vaccine-Studies-Examine-the-Evidence.aspx … #LiveOnK2

Do you realize how irresponsible this story is? You sandwich actual evidence & accurate info between a pathos-driven anecdote from a mom (that you lead w) & another dr who rejects undeniable consensus of medical evidence. This is the kind of reporting that damages public health.

It’s obvious you have a strong opinion on this, as do others. As a professional, I’m sure I could learn from your advice and feedback.

It's just basic false equivalence. "Both sides" is fine on opinions, but not for established fact. Might as well run a story giving Flat Earth proponents as much time as physicists

And she claims that she went through so much data, only to have most of the story rely on anecdotal evidence. That's very bad journalism.
