John Ioannidis even critiqued it recently in the American J of Statistics. When I first showed him this work he was reluctant to speak out because he tries to avoid controversies where he is not as well versed. But he weighed in now.

I'll have to look that up. It took me some time to write my original blog for the same reason, I didn't know anything about the subject matter but I also couldn't believe that they'd done what they did
