I wrote about this study back in 2017, and @Karkazis and others have since criticized it further
Basing a legal decision on this is frankly absurd
My piece from 2017 https://medium.com/@gidmk/testing-testosterone-is-a-waste-of-time-684917805957 … And more recent scientific debunkings https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/52/23/1481.abstract … https://muse.jhu.edu/article/702853/summary …
There may be a fair way to delineate gender in sport that we haven't found yet, but it's definitely not testing testosterone
Possibly true. But it is clearly not a simple issue and deserves careful analysis and deliberation. Helpfully, the rest of your thread does a good job of pointing out some of that.
It's a highly complex issue and i'm unsure how it is going to be worked out in the long run. But Caster is at a SEVERE advantage. This is a whole other level from swimmers having longer arms and webbed feet etc. From a non-scientific and fan viewpoint: Something had to be done.
Nonsense. Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt won every event they competed in for years and no one said anything had to be done despite their severe advantage
