The worst part of this article is that it only mentions that this research was conducted in mice in the third last paragraph (way down there highlighted in red)pic.twitter.com/kRcw2xHwGP

I mean, it's interesting research, but you can't just present it as a fait accompli in humans like that it's just nonsense

Well. I don't know about that, but they do put a dent in your wallet. MY DD explaining she felt so energized! after her protein shake. Look at the ingredients...caffeine. Drink a diet Coke and a glass of milk, honey.

Meanwhile, someone somewhere is cutting back their mouse’s protein shake intake.

Our members highly recommend drinking GMO soy along with high fructose corn syrup shakes... it’s a perfect combination!

If you give mice more kJs with no change to exercise they get fat and therefor are more likely to be depressed and have a sorter life span. Absolutely incredible research...

Did they just stuff mice with high calorie protein shakes? Did they make the mice do weight training? Cardio? Did the mice go through Bulking & cutting phases? Since obviously all no's: great so another mice study says "obesity is bad for your health". What a waste of money!

Why does one insist giving protein shakes to obese mice ? :)

Wait, they started with OBESE mice? We already have at least one human trial suggesting that protein supplement outcomes vary by baseline body composition: the lean may trade fat for muscle; those whose body fat is high at baseline gain more fat. Review of the literature, anyone?
