Cinnamaldehyde - a component of cinnamon - has been shown to ~marginally~ improve glycemic control (NOT lose weight) To get an active dose of cinnamaldehyde, you need to eat 6-8 GRAMS of cinnamon This is total rubbishhttps://twitter.com/MailOnline/status/1121252648647307265 …

The other 'advice' in this piece is similarly...not great. Chromium supplements ~may~ help reduce blood sugar in people with diabetes Not the same as make healthy people lose weight!pic.twitter.com/ajTaxsDEq2

The active properties in herbs and spices are excellent for many things. Cramming lots into your diet is a beneficial thing. The idea that taking most as a supplement will achieve anything has always irked me.

On the flipside: If you can force down 8 g of cinnamon each day we may finally find out whether it is possible to get those toxic doses of coumarin that cinnamon alarmists have been fretting for years.
