Things that are always gluten free (unless somehow done very badly wrong): - uncooked rice - cheese - raw meat - yoghurt - cornflour - WATER Stop with the ridiculous labels 👍

Some wine labels come with gluten free now. Vegan is OK, since there could be egg white used, but gluten?

My mission is now to find the stupidest product with gluten free written on it next time I go to the supermarket (it'll make shopping more interesting anyway).

I’d be cautious here. Rice that is bagged on a procesing line also handling barley, rye, oats or wheat may have trace levels of gluten sufficient to produce adverse symptoms in individuals with near-anaphylactic sensitivity

It’s more of an issue for milled grains, eg semolina or ground rice, where whole grain rice can be rinsed before cooking

If it’s minced meat, you need to ask if they dredge the blades with starch to prevent clogging, and if so whether it’s a certified g-f starch

Also, if it’s cut steaks or barbecue meats thst have been sprinkled with seasonings or marinaded in anything, you need a careful list of what went into into those flavourings. Soy sauce is the obvious culprit

If it’s one of those irritating flavoured waters from M&S, then a lot of those “natural flavourings” are grain-based
