It’s not patient choice if patients are being lied to about the benefits and safety of using such alternativeshttps://twitter.com/drkerrynphelps/status/1111792124280754176 …
Interesting, because of the naturopaths I know who were trained in Aus every one had homeopathy included in their training. I'd be interested to know what proportion of Australian naturopaths promote/use homeopathy in their practice

Historically that would be true, but it has been phased out over last ~20yrs. PRACI data shows ~1/3 of naturopaths have prescribed it in last 12mo. I did mini-review of hom prescribers in Oz, it's mostly medicos, pharmacists, midwives, vets & psychologists https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23870380

That article is about GPs. I don't know about Australia, but here at GP is a doctor. Naturopaths are not doctors. Any health professional prescribing homeopathy should lose their license. It's witchcraft.

Can also confirm it wasn't in my training (Brisbane in 1999-2004), but was available as an elective (which I didn't do). For context of that last figure, more than twice as many naturopaths have prescribed individualised yoga exercises in past 12mo (75%) than homeopathy
