Yes. Melatonin seems to have some medical/scientific backing, but stuff like Gaba is pretty entrenched in supplement industry pseudo-scientific language.

Of all of them, melatonin has by far the best evidence, which means that there's reasonable certainty that it reduces the time it takes to fall asleep for people with diagnosed insomnia by about 5 minutes on average. For an OTC med, that's pretty excellent
