Theres a certain type of church that always manages to end up on the wrong side of history. Churches have damaged indigenous communities, fought against feminism, opposed marriage equality and argued for ongoing discrimination against rights for transgender people

Why are we doing this? Are we just terrible people? Sometimes, yes. Other times, its because the church starts with a set of beliefs that firm the framework for terrible opinions and awful decisions.

I still believe in Gid, I'm still a Christian, I still believe that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves, but I'm done with that church and every other church that holds those beliefs. Its hurts to write this, but I'm out. /end thread
