Enormous new study out of Denmark demonstrating (again) that vaccines don't cause autism: https://annals.org/aim/article-abstract/2727726/measles-mumps-rubella-vaccination-autism-nationwide-cohort-study …pic.twitter.com/SNqZQL9YTm

Basically, the researchers looked at, as I said, EVERY CHILD BORN IN DENMARK between 1999 and 2010 That's a total of 660,000 children Which is quite a lot
They compared children who did and didn't receive the MMR vaccination, and found that there was no difference in risk between the groups in terms of autism risk
In other words, the vaccine did not cause autism
Cool study, worth reading, disappointing that there isn't much coverage out there on it #VaccinesWork
I spoke to soon, looks like the embargo just lifted and suddenly there's a dozen news stories out there

There’s a reason @graceapp was translated into Danish.
I know
The research that Danish and other Scandinavian health researchers can do because of full health registries from birth to death hardwire into national healthcare is amazing.
Funny when taking to colleagues they always plan for more too. #professionalenvy
So much envy. New Zealand too, they have fully integrated health records for many people - and we only see the published research! There's a huge amount of epi that goes on in the background, it's amazing stuff
Lol yeh I think for some questions Scandinavian data is less useful than others it's a good point!
