On the downside - based on current best evidence, it's hard to know if coffee is beneficial to health
On the upside - based on the same evidence we can say with a great deal of certainty that it's (usually) not harmful, so drink away

There are unlikely to be significant chronic health issues associated with long-term coffee consumption, even if the amount consumed is quite high (4-5 cups per day)
