You could just as easily say that rates of pathological homosexuality have plummeted since it was removed as a psychiatric diagnosis, makes about as much sense
It must be difficult to find the balance between #livedexperience and #healthliteracy. I can imagine this would be a massive parenting challenge for me (c/ tertiary education)- imagine being a scared parent who hears antivax misinformation. Being heard is so powerful.
Worse still is the knowledge that a wider and more inclusive criteria presumably provides better access to care for more people and there are 14 retweeters I assume are arguing against it??
That's right - the MAIN source of increased prevalence is from applying the criteria more widely than ever before. But we do have to be careful because the whole ASD is so new we'll need to carefuly monitor Dx dynamics and see what happens to incidence.
