Note: this is NOT the same as saying "I can't do an RCT on this". There are many reasons that RCTs are hard to do, chief among them funding because RCTs are quite expensive

How does one ethically do a RCT with medical devices with obvious intervention mechanisms? I think this is one example where blinding is not possible and the ethics are likely to be unsound in the face of other evidence. A RCT may be possible but unethical. Any comment?
