No patient is a lab rat, all the risks are calculated risk & weighed up against the benefits. The process of randomisation is a very long & detailed process & particularly with an at risk patient populations like this

I disagree with the risk vs benefit assessment. And I'm not alone. There are a lot of professionals (academics and clinicians alike) who also object to this trial.

I do appreciate that there are a lot, I’ve seen the petition at change & the comments here! But the ethics board have reviewed it twice now & concluded its ethical!

Ethics board are privy to all the information from the study, including protocol, informed consent, PIS, risks & make independent recommendations based on ALL the information & also recommended changes! What are people in this thread basing their opinions on? Fast Track website?

The website is for recruitment as you’ve highlighted, only once pt are eligible or show interest would the PIS be released! This will highlight the risk & benefit as are standard on these sheets, also youve not seen consent how do you know risk are spelt out?

I'm confused. I've never seen a study that has every secondary outcome listed on recruitment pages, it seems totally reasonable to save that for the PIS?

I'd imagine the full forms do make that explicit. The recruitment page on the website mostly has general information though, you'd have to look at the full PICF to get all the info usually
