Because if you're only looking at one group you won't see it in another group. Which is the point of the other article. They don't examine alcohol use and abuse in middle class white women. And the FASD children are misdiagnosed as ADHD because everyone is focused on "the poor"

I just read the 5 page article cited by your link as backup to the "known to be worse in certain populations" THEY ONLY LOOKED AT POOR PEOPLE WITH KNOWN ALCOHOL ISSUES. Sample bias. And confirmation bias to an extent Not a cross section of population.
