Some issues: 1. Autism is not caused by diet 2. Autism cannot be 'cured' 3. Seeing autism as a disease to be cured is problematic 4. PROCESSED FOODS DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM 5. This is wildly irresponsiblepic.twitter.com/rRvTUorbJA

This is the sort of pseudoscientific nonsense that stigmatizes parents of autistic children. It's even worse because there's no good reason to think that diet has a significant causal role in the development of autism or ASDs

Also worth noting that the treatment of ASD issues with diet is not well-supported by evidence and has a fairly large risk of side-effects and is usually not generally recommended unless under close supervision by a medical professionalpic.twitter.com/qCfjGBul69

It saddens me that diet has become such entrenched subject matter for parents without all the right information. At the heart of it is a protective subject attached to a lot of sensitivities. Being a mom feeding her child. I get that. At the same time I haven’t been making a /1

/2 lot of friends out of my fellow parents sharing insights like why documentaries created by Australian tv chefs for instance have no business in the science of understanding autism.

Your bluster seems very authoritative, but I find it hard to believe that the same foods that made my existence unbearable will have no effect on someone else purely because they have been given an autism diagnosis. But God forbid sick people be allowed to eat real food.

Such an odd straw man there. I'm not saying that there is no chance that eating differently might help, I'm saying the claim that cutting out processed foods can 'cure' autism is without basis and that restrictive diets have been shown to be problematic for autistic people
