The macros you have listed here are for medical keto, which is what I'm on for my epilepsy. Your average human doing this for health/weight loss purposes do not need to be that strict. Never once have I put MCT oil in my coffee nor had fat bombs. This evaluation is very cliché.
Numerous sources indicate that my macros are actually correct. there’s a range, but those are the approx macros that many people aim for. Still, many people on keto aren’t in actual ketosis.
I go hard on protein (probably 50/45/5) and I’m in ketosis(blood test every day). Thus debunking 2 claims in this article. Ketosis is driven by the absence of glucose- not the presence of dietary fats or over/under presence of protein.
I didn't say that it's driven by the presence of fats. It's driven by starvation and/or unavailability of glucose.
The macros you cited(therapeutic ketosis to be sure), and that “too much protein will kick you out”.
The article has several paragraphs describing the point that these are ranges, and they are presented as such in every place. Did you actually read it?
