What an odd thing to say. Statistically it's far more likely, with a reasonably large sample, that the weight loss was roughly normal and that most women lost a bit of weight in the intervention and gained a bit in the control. This is backed up by the SD of the sample

I'll look at it later. 10 yrs ago I lost 13kg on paleo. When I stopped I gained all my weight back. When I wanted to lose weight again I knew what to do based on prior experience. Based on my experience I assume people yo-yo. I assumed this happened with this cohort too. Later.
