Virta patients. 2/262=0.8% cardiovascular events. Usual care patients. 4/87=4.6% CV events. I hate the study design, and I wonder how scientifically useful it is, but Virta approach didn't seem to increase cardiovascular risk. It appears that the low carb group got 30 follow up / group appointments. The usual care group got 1 education appointment. Is it just me or is this a potentially confounding factor?

Further the subjects willing or able to attend 30 follow up appointments are not representative of the average population.
