My most recent headache is fact-checking Dr. Jason Fung's blogs, because it's such a minefield but it seems so legitimate it's scary

If you picked up that there does seem to be a statistically significant difference between the two groups at every time-point, you're right! The study itself demonstrated small but clinically significant IMPROVEMENTS for the low-fat grouppic.twitter.com/bnUiWxgDcR

This was mostly because the control group gained weight on average, but it's still a really important and significant finding that COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS Dr. Fung's argumentpic.twitter.com/ecRUpx1v2Y

This is just one of many, it's hard to read these without yelling at the computer screen. Not sure what's happening here, but the piece seems to misinterpret or simply get things wrong quite a lot of the time

The fact that the piece ends with a call to buy Dr. Fung's book seems to also be a bit...problematic to mepic.twitter.com/CMduouOU8K

Don’t you think by useless he is talking about practical significance and not statistical significance? There is a big difference.

Either way, the statement "every single study failed" is factually incorrect

What's wrong here is your desire to prove that insulin is irrelevant in weight loss/gain while it is obvious that
