I'm not trying to strawman. I'm just asking that you reflect on the outcome of your writing style. You know from headlines that wording alters public perception. Your wording points out valid issues, but (IMHO) in a way that pushes the public against mouse research.

Eg, "pre-clinical" and "mouse" effectively mean the same thing, but the first conveys to the public that mouse research, while not yet clinically validated, is part of the clinical process. The second is usually used in a dismissive manner to say that cross-species is low value
