*Deep Breath* Ok So Metabolically healthy obesity is a fact. Obese people who are metabolically healthy are much better off than those who aren't BUT Obesity itself is still an independent predictor of ill health (i.e. it's bad for you)

But getting into running *is* hard. At any weight. I started running a little porky. Broke my ankle. Restarted running a lot less porky but still was a difficult transition. And now I can't run.

Definitely. But when I had a BMI of 35, I literally couldn't do it at all. Losing weight helped with a lot of the issues that made running more of a chore, made it just that little bit easier for me

There is a whole movement working very hard to normalise fatness. It's a public health threat.

Now that I'm not sure I agree with. There's a complex conversation about fat stigma and fat acceptance, but it's a bit hard to communicate over twitter I think
