I think a really interesting question is why people who advocate for something need it to be the solution to everything Why does something have to be a panacea for it to be effective?

I see why this happens for alternative medications. If practitioners limited themselves to just the indications that were effective, they wouldn't see many patients

But for things like diet, it doesn't make much sense to me Low-carb is great! I lost weight on a low-carb diet It doesn't work for everyone, and it's not a cure-all, so why do people want it to be?
