This is important, because our current prevention strategies for dementia aren't great BUT It is a mouse study. Very preliminary. Even if this result is replicated in mice, there's a long way to go before it's a clinical treatment

P.s. as @kevinnbass has pointed out, something I didn't really talk about was that this study was primarily looking at protein, not carbs. The main hypothesis was based on reducing protein intake; while this can be done through eating more carbs, it's not the central point!
