It's literally a thread of facts about hormonal variation within "sexes" in humans. Calling it "bringing PC to the science" is disingenuous posturing

He’s trying to make out that sex is some kind of spectrum and that is the disingenous part. And I think he’s doing that because that’s idealistically how things 'should' be for ultimate inclusivity. But that’s simply not supported by the science.

The thread is literally a description of science. As I said, you are being disingenuous, in a particularly tedious manner

We're going to have to agree to disagree I guess. He’s an endocrinologist which is narrow in its field and his observations are certainly interesting. But applying his area onto all of biology (genetics, behaviour, evolution) does not match up.

He's not an endocrinologist, nor a medical doctor. He's a biological scientist specializing in endocrinology

I think you’re arguing for arguing's sake now. I’ve followed you for some time and you’re petty much on the money with a lot of what you say. But I’m confused at your take on this. Do you actually and honestly think that biological sex (in humans or other mammals) is a spectrum?

I think that the evidence points that way for most variables (hormonal, physical, internal etc) that we could pick out. It becomes very difficult to separate sexes when you actually decide to try and pick them apart scientifically

Well I think we’re done then. This is bordering on madness. Think of when people go to the doctors where it’s important to know what sex someone is. The doctor rarely has trouble identifying their sex. Because it is not difficult for the vast majority of humans. As well you know.

That's an interesting argument. There are reasons that a doctor needs to know sex - endocrinologists, for example - but often this is not the case. And in many ways, sex is less important than hormone levels in most contexts anyway

But there are also many times when they do need to know; drug administration, disease diagnosis (many variations between sexes), pregnancy (an obvious difference...), autism diagnosis etc. Doctors know, and need to know the sex of their patients.

As I said, it gets complex. Autism, for example, is underdiagnosed in women/girls because of misunderstandings that are attributed to sex differences

Yes! Exactly my point! Misunderstandings as a result of their sex differences! Because males and females are distinctly different both physiologically and behaviourally.

No, misunderstandings as a result of perceived differences that are attributed to inherent biological sex but are more likely a result of societal influences
